LET YOUR GIRLS BE FUNNY (& FIESTY) Monday, April 1, 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Join New York Times best selling author, award-winning blogger, and speaker Jen Mann as she gives a funny/serious presentation about how teaching, allowing, and encouraging our daughters to be funny will result in strong, smart, confident young women. A recent study has shown that boys are encouraged to be funny, while girls are often told that being funny is not “lady-like.” Jen has endured this treatment her whole life, and is an outspoken advocate for funny females. Be a SPARK Mentor

SPARK Mentorship (Volunteer Opportunity) Have a skill or passion for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math)? Want to share what you love with others? Become a SPARK Mentor at the Milton Public Library and create and lead a program in The SPARK, the library’s makerspace. Programs can be for any age and are approximately 45 minutes long. 100 Books Before Graduation

100 Books Before Graduation Sign up for the library’s teen reading initiative that encourages you to read 100 books before graduation. This opportunity is open to teens entering 9th grade, as well as students currently in high school. Perks, besides the joy of meeting new characters and reading great books, include monthly prize drawings for all active participants, and a free book, a medal, and name recognition for those who complete the program.
