Author Visit: Jen Mann

LET YOUR GIRLS BE FUNNY (& FIESTY) Monday, April 1, 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Join New York Times best selling author, award-winning blogger, and speaker Jen Mann as she gives a funny/serious presentation about how teaching, allowing, and encouraging our daughters to be funny will result in strong, smart, confident young women. A recent study has shown that boys are encouraged to be funny, while girls are often told that being funny is not “lady-like.” Jen has endured this treatment her whole life, and is an outspoken advocate for funny females. In this presentation, she gives real parenting advice, tips on how to be/write funny, and concrete ways we can all support and encourage humor in young girls. Curious about Jen's work?
